Create clear, durable and glass-like surfaces with Mercola Liquid Glass 1kg. This professional-quality, two-component transparent epoxy resin is suitable for casting, coating, embedding, moulding and decorative art projects.

When Component A resin and Component B hardener are mixed correctly, the product forms a strong transparent finish with excellent adhesion, mechanical strength and resistance to moisture, temperature, solvents and many chemicals. It fills gaps and pores without shrinking, making it suitable for resin art, jewellery, decorative objects and larger surface applications.

Mercola Liquid Glass can be used to embed completely dry decorative materials such as pressed flowers, leaves, shells, pebbles, photographs, coins, beads and mineral stones. It is also suitable for protecting and decorating wood, metal, stone, ceramic, porcelain and cardboard.

The set contains 1kg total of Component A resin and Component B hardener, supplied for mixing at a ratio of 100:60.

How to Use

1. Ensure the working area, surface, mould, tools and decorative materials are completely clean and dry. Remove all dust, grease and moisture.
2. Measure 100 parts Component A resin to 60 parts Component B hardener. Use a precision scale or suitable graduated measuring container and do not estimate the quantities.
3. Mix thoroughly by hand using a clean, dry spatula or wooden mixing stick. Scrape the sides and bottom of the container until the mixture is uniform. Do not use an electric drill for mixing.
4. Prepare only the quantity you can apply immediately. Do not mix the entire 1kg set unless the application requires it and you can spread it promptly.
5. Pour the mixture into a prepared, leak-proof mould or spread it evenly over the surface using a spatula.
6. Secure lightweight decorative objects before pouring to prevent them from floating or moving while the resin cures.
7. Remove trapped air bubbles carefully with a needle. Avoid excessive heat, which may accelerate curing, create more bubbles or cause discolouration.
8. Keep the project protected from moisture, dust and high temperatures throughout the curing period.
9. For layered applications, apply the next layer when the previous layer begins to set. Alternatively, allow the previous layer to cure before applying another layer.
10. Allow approximately 4–6 hours for the initial set, 6–12 hours to become touch dry at 20°C, and 4–7 days for full curing, depending on the layer thickness and room temperature.
11. Once completely cured, surface imperfections can be progressively sanded and polished to achieve a smooth, glass-like finish.

• Use in a well-ventilated area and avoid breathing vapours.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Epoxy components may cause irritation or an allergic skin reaction.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product. Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
• Mixing produces an exothermic reaction and generates heat.
• Do not mix the full 1kg pack in a deep container unless it can be spread immediately. Larger mixed quantities can heat rapidly, cure prematurely, produce bubbles or become discoloured.
• At temperatures above 25°C, the working time may be very short. The manufacturer advises that mixed quantities above 500g may need to be spread within approximately 5–10 minutes, or 15–20 minutes at lower temperatures, while carefully monitoring the mixture’s temperature.
• If the mixture becomes unusually hot, begins smoking or shows signs of severe overheating, stop using it and follow the manufacturer’s emergency guidance.
• Do not use wet tools, moulds, surfaces or decorative materials. Moisture may cause bubbles, cloudiness and curing problems.
• Close both containers securely after use and never interchange their lids.
• Not recommended for continuous exposure to direct sunlight or UV radiation.
• Do not pour uncured resin, hardener or cleaning solvent into drains, soil or waterways.
• Dispose of remaining product and packaging according to local regulations.
• Test compatibility on a small area before starting the final application.
